UFC Betting Tips

We have our very own advice on keeping your bankroll alive during your UFC fight bets. There are a number of strategies out there, this is our method of betting on fights and allows us to keep a tight reign over our bankroll and keep overbetting to a minimum.

#1 Betting Strategy: Be consistant with your betting! When looking over a month period - how much cash do you have to bet on UFC fights? Let's say your bankroll for a given month is $1000. We will bet a MAX of 5% on our own bankroll, but suggest to newcomers that a max of 2-3% is a more appropriate betsize.

Example: If you adopt a conservative 2% betsize (based upon bankroll), you would bet $20 PER UFC fight. While that may seem like a very small amount, remember that you would likely be betting on 3-5 fights per UFC event. This equates to $100 per event.

Why Bet So Small?: In simple terms... To give your money time to work for you. While you could certainly bet $100 per fight, if you bet 5 fights and lost them all - you would only have 1/2 your bankroll left after this one event.

#2 Don't Overbet: Do NOT bet outside of what you can afford to lose. Every time you place a bet, you must ask yourself a simple question: Can I afford to lose this money? If the answer is yes, then you are safe. If you are hoping to win to keep yourself out of the hole, then do not make the bet... Lower your betsize and repeat the question.

#2 Don't Chase Losses: This is a common mistake of slots players and sports bettors alike.. Chasing losses. If you are on a losing streak, do not increase your betsize in order to compensate for those losses. This is the primary way in which sports betting gets 'out of hand'. This poor strategy will only result in losing control of your betting strategy - something you never want to do. Stay in control and bet consistently. That is the way to get ahead.
