Joe Stevenson is masterful on the ground and has adequate standup. Gleison Tibau is a large fighter with good standup and excellent BJJ and ground game.

FIGHT ANALYSIS: We believe that Tibau will try to keep Stevenson at bay with his reach advantage while finding a way to get the takedown. However, Stevenson will rush Tibau and get the first takedown in this one. Stevenson is a powerful fighter and, we believe, will be on top most of the fight. This fight will go all the way with no submissions and the victor will be the one who punnishes the other more on the ground. STEVENSON BY DECISION

Our second pick for UFC 86 is Cote vs Almeida and is not quite the fight we would have loved to see. While the fight may be interesting, it will likely be an easy fight for one of these 2 guys.

Patrick Cote is a well rounded fighter with moderate BJJ skills and decent hands. Almeida is a BJJ expert with heavy leg kicks and moderate striking ability.

FIGHT ANALYSIS: This is an easy call for us… Cote will try to keep this fight standing (even though he has been talking up his BJJ skills). He will attempt to tire out Almeida to keep that submission in check. Almeida will throw kick and punch until there is an opening for a takedown. Once on the ground, Almeida will quickly end the fight. ALMEIDA BY SUBMISSION

Our very first pick is the main event for UFC 86 and the fight we are truly excited about.  This fight is Rampage vs Griffin and will either be a brutal knockout or a long drawn out fight.  We are betting on Brutal.

Rampage Jackson is an aggressive fighter with slam-a-bility and powerful striking. Forrest is a grappler with the heart of a lion.

FIGHT ANALYSIS: Griffin is going to look to stay out of Rampage’s wheelhouse in the beginning of this fight and hope to tire him out for a decision or submission victory. This is really his only hope of winning this battle. Griffin cannot knock out Rampage, Griffin cannot submit a NON-tired Rampage, and Griffin cannot out-strike a NON-tired Rampage. Rampage, however, CAN knockout Griffin, CAN ground and pound Griffin, and WILL win this fight. Rampage BY TKO stoppage in brutal fashion.

Our second pick for the Ultimate Fighter Finale (Rampage Vs Forrest) is on the Evan Tanner versus Kendall Grove fight.

Evan Tanner is a beast of a fighter with a blend of skills and can either ground and pound or submit his opponents in quick fashion. Kendall Grove is a tall fighter with good submission skills, but loves to stand up with his opponents and at least attempt to trade blows.

FIGHT ANALYSIS: Tanner’s stand up game is way too much for Grove. Grove will definitely attempt to take Tanner to the ground, but Tanner’s experience is too much to allow someone like Kendall Grove to submit him. Look for Tanner to finish this fight while Kendall is looking to submit and end this fight with a stoppage. Tanner BY TKO.
